Job Summary

The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) is seeking an Expert for Service Strategy and Process Design to join its Maritime Data Center (MDZ) in Rostock. The MDZ operates as the central IT and data management service provider, with all processes aligned with ITIL best practices. In this permanent role, you will be responsible for defining new services and service models, and continuously developing the organization's Service Portfolio. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing services for strategic conformity, managing investments, and ensuring consistency between the Service Portfolio and the Service Catalog. A critical component of the job is the development, modeling, and continuous improvement of strategic Service Management processes. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Business Informatics or Process Management, coupled with fluency in German (C1) and intermediate English (B1). Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (or equivalent) in Business Informatics, Process Management, Business Administration, Public Management, or a comparable field. Alternatively, recognition as an Other Employee (Sonstige Beschäftigte) with equivalent abilities and experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Service Portfolio Management
  • Professional experience in Process Management and Process Modeling
  • Professional experience with IT Service Management frameworks (ITIL, ISO 20000)
  • Professional experience ensuring consistency between Service Portfolio and Service Catalog
