Job Summary

The Specialist Environmental Management will serve as a key consultant to project teams within DB InfraGO AG, guiding them from the initial planning stages through to operational handover regarding environmental and regulatory compliance. Daily responsibilities include advising project management on the scope and requirements of environmental services, reviewing and auditing environmental plans related to nature conservation, water and immission protection, soil protection, and waste disposal management. A core focus of this role is waste management and soil protection, involving the administration and quality assurance of performance specifications for contractors and documenting disposal processes using eANV software. The ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering, natural sciences, or a related field, possesses initial experience in waste or environmental management within construction projects, and is prepared to become an EBA-recognized environmental expert. This permanent position offers the chance to actively shape sustainable infrastructure for future generations.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor/Master) in Engineering Sciences, Natural Sciences, Geoecology, Geography, Environmental Technology, Environmental Management, Landscape and/or Environmental Planning, Forestry, or a comparable field with relevant focus areas.

Experience

  • Initial experience in waste management and/or environmental management within construction projects
  • Experience in environmental planning using nature conservation instruments (e.g., intervention regulations)
  • Knowledge of ZEDAL or basic knowledge in the application of eANV software solutions
  • Professional experience in engineering or natural science fields
