Job Summary

This role is ideal for a skilled biologist to join the Institute for Clinical Genetics at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden. The successful candidate will be responsible for the high-responsibility evaluation of molecular genetic analysis data for both diagnostic and research purposes, utilizing modern software and databases. A core duty involves independently preparing molecular genetic findings within the scope of genetic diagnostics. Beyond clinical work, the role requires initiating, conducting, and managing research tasks aimed at achieving high-quality results suitable for publication in internationally recognized journals. Additionally, the Biologist will be involved in significant educational responsibilities, including supervising technical staff, mentoring doctoral candidates, fulfilling teaching obligations, and supporting the training of specialists in Human Genetics. Candidates must hold a completed degree in Biology or a related field and possess experience in molecular genetics within diagnostics and research. A doctoral degree is highly desirable.
