Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Development Engineer focused on Electronics and Optical Sensor Technology, developing robust hardware for optical position sensors used in digitized automation systems. The engineer will manage the entire product lifecycle, starting from initial prototype design and evaluation, through series sample development, and concluding with transfer into series production. Core daily tasks include designing complex hardware architectures, supporting specifications, simulating designs, creating detailed schematics, and commissioning printed circuit boards (PCBs). The position requires ensuring the usability of developed hardware in adjacent disciplines, often involving script-based raw data acquisition, and rigorous quality assurance in collaboration with cross-functional teams like Software, System Engineering, and Production. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and demonstrates expertise in embedded systems design, analog circuitry, and tool-supported hardware design, coupled with an innovative, self-driven, and communicative work style.

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in designing embedded systems utilizing analog circuit parts and microcontroller connections
  • Experience in tool-supported hardware design
  • Basic knowledge of microcontroller programming
  • Basic knowledge of script-based programming
  • Fundamental understanding of relevant conformity requirements (e.g., EMC)
