Job Summary
This role involves specialized technical support within the North Rhine-Westphalia State Tax Administration, focusing primarily on the electrical maintenance and support of critical IT infrastructure, specifically Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. The specialist will be responsible for participating in the electrical planning, acceptance, and ongoing control of UPS systems and local networks, conducting regular electrical safety inspections (DGUV-V3), and analyzing and resolving malfunctions in collaboration with expert departments. Key requirements include a degree or equivalent qualifications/experience in Electrical Engineering or related fields, and multi-year practical experience in areas like power engineering or automation technology. This position offers a secure, full-time, permanent role within the public service, featuring flexible working hours and a family-friendly culture, requiring travel within the Münsterland/Ruhrgebiet/Sauerland/Siegerland regions.
Required Skills
Education
University of Applied Sciences, Bachelor's, or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications/relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Multi-year practical experience in at least two of the following areas: Power Engineering, Automation Technology, Communication Technology, Electronic Device Technology, Electrical Measurement and Control Technology, Technical Informatics, Theoretical Electrical Engineering, or Working Under Voltage on Electrical Systems (AuS)
- Experience working in agile teams (desirable)
- Experience with Windows Server (advantageous)
- Experience with Linux Server (advantageous)
- Experience with Virtualization Technologies (e.g., VMware) (advantageous)
- Experience in User Support (advantageous)

- Valid Class B driver's license required for business travel. Willingness to travel within the Münsterland/Ruhrgebiet/Sauerland/Siegerland regions. Assignment is primarily to the Marl Tax Office, with alternative service locations considered. Must be open to change and staying updated on the latest technology.
