Job Summary
This role involves providing essential electrical engineering support for critical IT infrastructure within the North Rhine-Westphalia State Tax Administration, focusing heavily on Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. The specialist will be responsible for the planning, acceptance, and continuous monitoring of UPS systems and local networks, ensuring operational continuity. Key daily tasks include conducting regular electrical safety inspections (DGUV-V3), analyzing and resolving technical malfunctions in collaboration with expert departments, and processing service requests. Candidates need a degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or a related field, coupled with multi-year practical experience in areas like energy technology or automation. This position offers a secure, full-time, permanent role within the public sector, providing flexible working hours and a family-friendly culture, requiring travel within the Münsterland/Ruhrgebiet/Sauerland/Siegerland regions.
Required Skills
Education
University of Applied Sciences, Bachelor's, or Diploma degree related to Electrical Engineering, or equivalent skills and relevant professional experience (e.g., Master Craftsman qualification)
Experience
- Multi-year practical experience in at least two of the following areas: Energy Technology, Automation Technology, Communications Technology, Electronic Device Technology, Electrical Measurement and Control Technology, Technical Informatics, Theoretical Electrical Engineering, or Working Under Voltage on Electrical Systems (AuS)
- Professional experience in elektrotechnical planning, acceptance, and continuous monitoring of UPS systems
- Experience working in agile teams (Favorable)
- Experience in user support (Favorable)
