Job Summary

This role requires an engaged and reliable Electrotechnical Support Specialist to join the North Rhine-Westphalia State Tax Administration, focusing primarily on the electrical maintenance and support of critical IT infrastructure, particularly Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in the electrical planning, acceptance, and ongoing control of UPS systems and local networks. You will be responsible for conducting regular electrotechnical safety inspections (DGUV-V3), analyzing and resolving disturbances in collaboration with specialized departments, and processing service requests. The specialist will collaborate closely with software development and IT operations teams across regional data centers. Candidates must hold a degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering and possess multi-year practical experience in related fields such as Power Engineering or Automation Technology. Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences, Bachelor's, or Diploma degree related to Electrical Engineering, or equivalent skills and relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Multi-year practical experience in at least two of the following areas: Power Engineering, Automation Technology, Communications Technology, Electronic Device Technology, Electrical Measurement and Control Technology, Technical Informatics, Theoretical Electrical Engineering, or Working Under Voltage on Electrical Systems (AuS)
  • Experience in Windows Server, Linux Server, or Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) (advantageous)
  • Experience in User Support (advantageous)
  • Experience working in agile teams (advantageous)
