Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the dimensional accuracy of aerospace and automotive components, assemblies, and fixtures using advanced 3D coordinate measuring systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring freeform surfaces and standard geometries on prototypes, first samples, and serial parts, conducting both individual and series measurements, and performing production-accompanying measurements. A key aspect of the role is programming and evaluating measurement processes using CAD data, measurement plans, and technical drawings. This position requires a proactive individual who can independently handle internal metrology inquiries and serve as a primary contact for internal clients, including R&D and quality assurance departments. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering. Further training as a Master Craftsman, Technician, or Metrology Technician (AUKOM certification).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in optical and tactile 3D coordination metrology
  • Experience with PDM systems
  • Experience with MS-Office and SAP
