Job Summary

This System Engineer role focuses on developing and maintaining complex, safety-critical system architectures, primarily within the defense sector. The successful candidate will utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, specifically applying the V-Model XT for system development. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing and evaluating system requirements for feasibility, completeness, and testability, with a strong focus on Maintainability and RAMT (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Testability). You will be responsible for documenting and verifying system specifications, interface models, and architecture models using tools like Enterprise Architect (SysML) and DOORS. The role requires close collaboration with Safety, Qualification & Validation, and Quality teams to ensure compliance with stringent military and industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD, STANAG, AQAP). This position is ideal for an ambitious engineer with profound MBSE knowledge and experience in managing complex technical solutions.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Engineering Sciences, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or comparable field

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in System Engineering within safety-critical systems (ideally in the defense sector)
  • Professional experience with MBSE, Maintainability standards, V-Model XT, and System Architecture methodology
  • Expertise in handling Enterprise Architect (SysML) and DOORS
  • Professional experience with relevant standards (e.g., MIL-STD-1472, MIL-HDBK-470A, STANAG, AQAP, ISO 15288)
