Job Summary
This critical role ensures the secure, stable, and future-proof operation of IT services across nine county-owned schools, supporting approximately 6,300 students and 800 teachers. The System Administrator will manage the full IT infrastructure lifecycle, including the operation and development of Windows and Linux servers, server applications, and databases within the data center and on-site. Core responsibilities involve Active Directory and M365 tenant administration, managing complex virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox), and configuring network security components like firewalls. The position requires proactive system monitoring, robust data backup and restoration procedures, and enhancing efficiency through automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash). Candidates must possess a degree or vocational training in IT System Integration, coupled with hands-on experience in the listed technical areas and the ability to lead technical sub-projects, demonstrating strong problem-solving and cooperative skills.
Required Skills
Education
Preferred: Completed University Degree (B. A. or B. Sc.) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or similar. Alternative: Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist specializing in System Integration, or similar.
Experience
- Professional experience in server administration (Windows and/or Linux)
- Professional experience in virtualization technologies (VMware and Hyper-V preferred)
- Experience in technical project management
