Job Summary

This Application Engineer role is crucial for advancing the decarbonization of the maritime industry through cutting-edge battery storage systems. Based in Lübeck, with hybrid work options, you will be responsible for the technical planning, specification, and dimensioning of customized high-voltage battery solutions for electric and hybrid ship propulsion. Key daily tasks involve developing detailed technical concepts, creating specifications, and collaborating closely with sales, project management, and external partners. You will also provide essential support during system commissioning and troubleshooting, while actively contributing to product development and refining internal engineering processes. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering, possesses technical expertise in battery systems and maritime electrical networks, and demonstrates strong project management and communication skills. This position offers the chance to apply technical expertise to sustainable shipping solutions, requiring fluency in German and good working knowledge of English, alongside a willingness to travel within the EU.
