Job Summary
This role involves working within the Environmental Protection Office of a public administration, specifically focusing on regulatory compliance within the Immission Control Authority. The specialist will be responsible for investigating and processing complaints related to immission control laws concerning commercial enterprises, construction sites, and industrial facilities. Key daily tasks include conducting regular environmental inspections of industrial and commercial operations to ensure compliance with permit requirements, performing ad-hoc environmental monitoring, and evaluating emissions and immissions (e.g., through sound level measurements and analysis of test reports). The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, possesses strong negotiation skills, and is capable of independent, responsible work. This is a fixed-term, part-time position (30 hours/week) offering flexible working hours and the possibility of home office, making it attractive for work-life balance.
