Job Summary

This role is for an Academic Assistant specializing in Chemistry and Biosensors, supporting interdisciplinary Bachelor's programs like Applied Life Sciences and Biomedical Micro Engineering at the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. The assistant will be crucial in coordinating and executing student laboratory practicals, providing direct supervision and mentorship to students during experiments and projects focused on chemistry and biosensor technology. Day-to-day activities include conducting exercises and seminars related to lectures, assisting with examinations, and actively participating in the conceptual development of new laboratory courses. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Applied Life Sciences, or a related technical/natural science field, coupled with initial experience in academic teaching or practical supervision.
