Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Electrical Technician or Master Electrician to join the shift team at Europe's most modern coastal power plant in Kiel. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable supply of electricity and heat for the region. Daily responsibilities include utilizing technical expertise and economic foresight to plan and monitor the availability of plant systems, managing the production of electricity and district heating, and ensuring strict adherence to generation schedules. The operator will control the coastal power plant and other generation units, manage the shift personnel, professionally handle production deviations caused by weather or faults, coordinate the switching of technical systems, and oversee external contractors. Key qualifications include a relevant Technician or Master Electrician certification in Electrical Engineering, ideally medium voltage switching authorization, advanced knowledge of power plant and district heating network operations, and proficiency in MS Office. This position requires a willingness to work in a 24/7 shift operation model and offers a permanent contract.
