Job Summary
This role involves taking full responsibility for the entire development cycle of wind farm projects, from securing land and commissioning studies to analyzing optimal layouts and turbine types, and managing the full permitting process. The successful candidate will engage in regular travel to potential wind farm sites, manage diverse stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle, and prepare crucial reports and decisions for executive management. Key responsibilities also include monitoring project timelines, budgets, and quality, as well as proactively managing project risks. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in project development, particularly within the renewable energy sector, who is eager to drive sustainable technological solutions forward.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Geography, Engineering, or Economics, or comparable qualifications/professional experience
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in project development, preferably in the wind or PV industry with a focus on permitting planning
- Experience in dealing with landowners, service providers, permitting authorities, and municipalities
- Experience in using geographic information systems (GIS) in the context of wind farms
