Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position is seeking a passionate Software Development Engineer to join a team focused on developing application software for central machine control systems, specifically for lifting tools. The core responsibilities involve designing and implementing application software, with a strong emphasis on functional safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing safety functions compliant with standards like ISO 13849 and IEC 61508, creating functional and technical safety concepts, and managing related processes for the Electrical/Electronic (E/E) infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed software and test specifications, developing test programs, and documenting algorithms, models, and function libraries. Key qualifications include a university degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Computer Science) and professional experience in control and automation technology. Proficiency in PLC programming (IEC 61131 or Codesys) is essential, complemented by fluent German and good English skills.
