Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated System Engineer specializing in Mechatronic Systems, focusing primarily on the rail vehicle industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and adapting critical technical documentation, including requirement and architecture specifications for mechatronic functions, subsystems, and software components of rail vehicles. Day-to-day tasks involve designing robust system architectures, managing complex interfaces while adhering to functional safety requirements, and ensuring overall vehicle functionality at the train level. A key aspect of the role is risk management, including the consolidation of FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and PHA (Preliminary Hazard Analysis) in collaboration with RAMS engineers, alongside rigorous change and configuration management. The position requires an engineering degree (preferably Rail Vehicle Technology or Electrical Engineering focus) coupled with professional experience in rail vehicle development or maintenance, and strong foundational knowledge in Systems Engineering and Project Management.
