Job Summary

This role involves supporting the maintenance and operational readiness of critical hydropower infrastructure as part of the energy transition. The Service Technician will be responsible for independent electrical installation and assembly work directly at the hydropower plant site. Key day-to-day tasks include conducting scheduled maintenance, repairs, and general overhauls of all mechanical and electrical systems, focusing on turbines, generators, weirs, and various auxiliary units. A crucial part of the job is performing recurring functional and safety checks, such as those mandated by DGUV regulations. Furthermore, the technician provides essential support during major disruptions and critical high-water events, contributing directly to active flood protection. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as an Electrician or Electronics Technician, along with relevant certifications for electrical testing and working at heights.
