Job Summary

This is a pivotal opportunity for a highly motivated executive leader to join the Helmstedt District Administration as the Executive Board Member for Central Services (Board Division IV). You will be responsible for strategically steering the inner workings of the administration, leading key departments including HR, IT Services, Digitalization, and Organizational Development. A core function involves acting as the Personnel Director for the entire district administration, overseeing internal regulations, and ensuring the strategic and economic alignment of the organization up to the department head level. The ideal candidate possesses strong management competence, strategic planning skills, and demonstrable leadership experience, preferably within public administration. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Administrative Sciences, Public Management, Business Administration, Law, or Economics; OR Eligibility for the second entry level of the General Services career path (German public sector qualification).

Experience

  • Demonstrable leadership competence
  • Experience leading managers (desirable)
