Job Summary
The Financial Administration of North Rhine-Westphalia is seeking a dedicated specialist to manage the electrotechnical support of critical IT infrastructure, focusing primarily on Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in the electrical planning, acceptance, and continuous monitoring of UPS systems and local networks. The role requires conducting regular electrical safety inspections (DGUV-V3), analyzing and resolving technical malfunctions, and processing service requests in collaboration with IT operations and software development teams. Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, coupled with multi-year practical experience in fields such as energy technology, automation, or technical computer science. This position offers a secure, permanent role within the public service, featuring flexible working hours, home office options, and a family-friendly work environment, requiring regional travel within the Münsterland/Ruhrgebiet/Sauerland/Siegerland areas.
Required Skills
Education
University of Applied Sciences, Bachelor's, or Diploma degree related to Electrical Engineering. Equivalent abilities and relevant professional experience are also considered.
Experience
- Multi-year practical experience in at least two of the following areas: Energy Technology, Automation Technology, Communications Technology, Electronic Device Technology, Electrical Measurement and Control Technology, Technical Computer Science, Theoretical Electrical Engineering, or Working under Voltage on Electrical Systems (AuS)
- Experience in Windows Server (advantageous)
- Experience in Linux Server (advantageous)
- Experience in Virtualization Technologies (e.g., VMware) (advantageous)
- Experience in User Support (advantageous)
- Experience working in agile teams (ideal)

- Valid Driver's License (Class B) required due to business travel. Willingness to travel within the Münsterland / Ruhrgebiet / Sauerland and Siegerland regions. Willingness to complete structured onboarding/training, which may require travel to other regions of North Rhine-Westphalia.
