Job Summary

This role involves providing essential 1st and 2nd level IT support to employees across 31 historic properties managed by the Thuringian Palaces and Gardens Foundation. The administrator will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of workplace IT, including PCs, printers, VoIP phones, notebooks, and smartphones, from delivery to handover. Key daily tasks include resolving user problems via remote access or on-site visits, administering the server and network infrastructure, and managing user accounts. The position also requires active participation in developing IT strategies and leading or supporting IT projects, such as the introduction of new hardware or software. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent, or vocational training as an IT Specialist combined with at least three years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of Windows Client/Server environments, Active Directory, and GPO is mandatory, alongside fluent German and basic English skills. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent; alternatively, Operative Professional certification or vocational training as an IT Specialist.

Experience

  • At least three years of relevant professional experience in IT (if holding a vocational qualification)
  • Experience in end-user and client support
  • Professional experience in administering server and network infrastructure
