Job Summary

The City of Kempten is seeking a full-time, permanent Civil Engineering Technician or Master Craftsman to join the Municipal Yard, starting January 1, 2026. This varied role involves active participation in shaping the city's infrastructure and engaging with the public. Day-to-day duties include initial assessment, concept development, tendering, awarding, and execution of minor civil engineering measures and cleaning operations. You will also be responsible for ensuring legally compliant documentation and maintaining GIS updates for road maintenance. A significant part of the role involves supporting section managers in the planning, organization, coordination, and execution of winter services across the city. Candidates must hold a completed qualification as a Master Craftsman or state-certified Technician in Civil Engineering. Success in this position requires a high degree of independence, excellent communication skills in German, and proficiency with standard software, including GIS and AVA systems. Professional experience and knowledge of VOB/HOAI are advantageous.
