Job Summary
Lead the Solutions Architecture Unit, defining the strategic vision and technical roadmap for specialized applications within a critical federal department focused on internal security. This senior leadership role involves actively directing the unit, collaborating closely with the Technology division leadership team, and driving innovative architecture projects. You will be responsible for establishing cooperative stakeholder management, transparently presenting technical options and risks, and influencing strategic architectural and technology decisions through participation in steering committees. Success in this role requires an advanced degree in Computer Science and several years of experience leading architecture functions in complex IT environments. Candidates must possess strong technical knowledge of highly interconnected critical security systems architectures and current technology trends. This position is ideal for a motivating leader with strategic insight and excellent communication skills who is ready to shape Switzerland's future digital infrastructure.
Required Skills
Education
Advanced degree (UAS, ETH/EPFL, or University) in Computer Science or equivalent background.
Experience
- Several years of experience in a leadership function within a complex IT and technical architecture environment.
- Professional experience driving innovative architecture projects and managing technical risks.
- Strong knowledge of highly interconnected critical security systems architectures.

- Work location is in Zollikofen, Switzerland, with options for remote work. The role operates within the Federal Department of Justice and Police (DFJP), requiring adherence to very high security and availability standards for applications and infrastructures related to police, justice, and migration domains. Knowledge of a second official Swiss language is required.
