Job Summary

This role involves engaging in agile software development for innovative and complex IT applications within an interdisciplinary team. The specialist will work with a state-of-the-art technology stack, covering all facets of software engineering from planning to operation, including conceptualization, implementation, testing, and stakeholder communication. A key aspect is actively shaping the 'dev toolchain' by automating and optimizing processes and components using CI/CD tools. The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in relevant fields like Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, demonstrate strong IT expertise in programming, development environments, deployment infrastructures, and modern database systems, and be proficient in English and fluent in German. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical national security objectives within a federal agency.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Dipl. FH) in Computer Science, Electrical and Information Technology, Industrial Engineering (with an engineering focus), Mathematics, or Physics. Or expected completion within the next 12 months.

Experience

  • Professional experience in agile software development of IT applications
  • Experience with State of the Art Technology-Stacks
  • Experience across the full software engineering lifecycle (planning, implementation, testing, stakeholder communication)
  • Experience in optimizing and automating processes with CI/CD tools
  • Ability to quickly and independently learn new subject areas and tasks

Additional

  • German citizenship required. Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Ü3) based on the Security Clearance Act (SÜG). Willingness for continuous training and further education.
