Job Summary
This permanent, full-time Civil Engineer role focuses on the planning, renewal, and maintenance of essential municipal infrastructure, including roads, sewage, water systems, street lighting, and bridges. The daily tasks involve comprehensive project management, from creating detailed tenders and awarding contracts to supervising construction work, managing billing, and overseeing external engineering firms. Key responsibilities also include cost estimation for budgetary planning, managing grant applications, and handling administrative and legal affairs related to infrastructure projects. The position requires participation in committee work, preparing resolutions, and addressing disaster and flood protection measures. Candidates must hold a degree (Dipl.-Ing., Bachelor, or Master) in Civil Engineering, possess relevant professional and administrative experience, and demonstrate strong negotiation skills, high flexibility, and proficiency in standard PC applications and specialized software like AVAPLAN.
