Job Summary

This role seeks an ambitious Controls Engineer to join a leading technology consultancy, focusing on implementing sophisticated control solutions, primarily within the rail sector (train control). Day-to-day responsibilities include translating customer requirements into functional design descriptions, formulating low-voltage and software control solutions, and creating essential electrical schematics and product definitions, often supporting a senior electrical engineer. You will be responsible for managing change requests, providing interface control documentation for subsystems, and liaising with suppliers. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and possesses extensive professional experience in electromechanics, electrical engineering, and automation technology, particularly using PLC systems. Practical experience with model-based development tools like Matlab/Simulink is highly valued. This position offers the chance to work on challenging projects for renowned clients, utilizing comprehensive know-how to drive digital transformation while enhancing your skills through practical experience and internal training programs.

Successful completion of a university degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Experience in electrical and schematic design (advantageous)
