Job Summary
The City of Kleve is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with a focus on Deep Civil Engineering to lead its Project Management department. This pivotal role involves overseeing the planning and implementation of new construction and renovation projects for urban water systems, waterways, and stormwater retention/treatment basins. The successful candidate will also coordinate external planning for bridge and civil engineering structures, ensure compliance with DIN 1076 for structural inspections, and manage public lighting initiatives. Key responsibilities include contract management, performance control, documentation, and reporting, alongside preparing proposals for political committees. This position requires strong leadership, comprehensive technical knowledge in civil engineering, and a proactive approach to digital transformation and climate-conscious urban development.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Civil Engineering (Diplom, Bachelor, or Master), preferably with a specialization in Urban Water Management/Wastewater Systems or similar.
Experience
- Extensive professional experience in road construction, urban water management, bridge construction, and civil engineering
- Many years of experience in the construction of wastewater facilities
- Practical professional experience in civil engineering appropriate for the position
- Leadership experience in public administration or the private sector
