This permanent role invites a dedicated Metrology Technician / Quality Assurance Specialist to join NILES-SIMMONS, a manufacturer of high-precision machine tools. The core responsibility involves ensuring product quality through rigorous measurement and testing processes. Day-to-day tasks include the preparation, execution, and detailed evaluation of specialized measuring assignments within the quality assurance framework. A critical component of the role is the creation and application of precise measuring programs for existing equipment, specifically Zeiss and Jenoptik machines, alongside the ongoing management and calibration of various testing equipment. Candidates must bring a completed technical vocational qualification or higher, paired with extensive professional experience in manufacturing metrology. Expertise in 3D coordinate measuring technology, particularly using Zeiss Calypso, and a confident understanding of technical drawings, standards, and testing guidelines are essential prerequisites for success in this role, which requires flexibility to work in 2- and 3-shift systems.
