Job Summary
This leadership role involves managing the Staff Unit for County Committees and Public Relations within the Gießen County Administration, serving as a critical link between the administration, political bodies, and the public. The Head of Staff Unit is responsible for leading the team, setting strategic goals, managing the budget for political decision-making and administrative control, and providing crucial legal and procedural advice to the administrative and political leadership during committee meetings. Key responsibilities also include serving as the Secretary for the County Council, managing the office of the County Council Chair, and handling financial coordination for faction funding. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or equivalent, at least three years of leadership experience, strong IT skills, and high levels of organizational, social, and intercultural competence.

Bachelor of Arts – Public Administration or comparable qualification (e.g., Diploma in Administrative Management, Administrative Specialist)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role/management position
- Professional experience in public administration or related fields
- Experience in protocol creation and documentation (advantageous)
- Experience with Hessian Municipal Constitutional Law (HKO, HGO, KWG, EigBG - advantageous)
