Job Summary
As a JavaScript Software Engineer for the City of Stuttgart's Department for Digitalization, Organization, and IT (DO.IT), you will be instrumental in expanding and optimizing development platforms using custom JavaScript functionalities. Your daily tasks will involve consulting and supporting 'Citizen Developers,' conducting individual and group coaching sessions, organizing workshops, and facilitating user meetings. You will also be responsible for the continuous development of services on these platforms, analyzing user needs, and identifying, resolving, and documenting platform issues. This role is crucial for introducing improvements and new features to enhance efficiency and user-friendliness, actively contributing to the digitalization efforts within the city administration. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science or a comparable university degree, or vocational training in the IT sector with several years of professional experience in the field of activity. For foreign degrees, recognition in Germany or proof of equivalent qualification is required.
Experience
- Several years of experience with JavaScript
- Good understanding of complex, networked systems
- Experience in creating, developing, and extending workflow-based applications
- Experience in IT-related field (if vocational training)
- Experience in municipal structures (beneficial)
