Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Automation Engineer or Technician specializing in the planning and implementation of control systems for Special Purpose Machinery. Day-to-day responsibilities include the programming of PLC controls and developing visualization interfaces for complex production plants, spanning sectors such as packaging, textiles, logistics, and the chemical industry. A crucial part of the job involves modernizing existing legacy systems (Retrofit) to extend their lifespan and efficiency. The position requires extensive travel, as the successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning these systems across Germany, Europe, and globally. Candidates must combine a relevant technical education (degree, technician, or master craftsman qualification) with several years of professional experience in automation. Proficiency in PLC systems and visualization tools, particularly Siemens TIA-Portal and WinCC, is essential, alongside strong German and English language skills and a high degree of global travel readiness.
