Job Summary
This role involves the independent design, planning, and testing of complex protection systems for medium and high-voltage switchgear, primarily within the energy sector. The Protection Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing protection concepts, defining and parameterizing protective systems, and contributing to network calculations and circuit planning. A key part of the job includes conducting protection tests and meticulously documenting the results. Candidates should possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification, strong knowledge of secondary technology for medium and high-voltage networks, and familiarity with protective relays and testing systems like SIPROTEC or OMICRON. This position offers a stimulating environment in the Dresden area, requiring fluency in German and a willingness to travel up to 30% nationwide for project work.

Experience
- Professional experience in the design, planning, and testing of complex protection systems
- Experience in handling protective relays and testing systems (e.g., SIPROTEC, OMICRON) is advantageous
- Several years of professional experience in protection technology are advantageous
