Job Summary

This long-term position seeks a reliable and motivated Customer Support Engineer to join a renowned, international aerospace and space industry client in Sulzbach. The primary responsibilities include comprehensive Linux server administration, specifically focusing on the setup, installation, and maintenance of virtual and physical RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS servers, often utilizing HP hardware (HP-Synergy, HP Blade Center, HP Proliant, HP 3PAR-Storage). The role involves managing High-Performance Server Clusters (pacemaker), performing 2nd Level Incident Management, and handling Patch, Change, Release, and Configuration Management. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or an equivalent IT qualification (such as an IT System/Network Administrator certification). Essential technical skills include strong knowledge of virtualization (VMware, vCenter, RedHat Enterprise Virtualization), networking (TCP/IP, Switching, Routing), and SAN Storage Systems. The position requires flexibility for shift work or on-call duty and offers a clear path to permanent employment within a cutting-edge international environment.
