Job Summary
This role involves establishing, managing, and commercializing a laser test laboratory, focusing on the planning, execution, and evaluation of measurements on electronic components. The successful candidate will conduct radiation tests of EEE components using various ionizing radiation sources and create accredited test and measurement reports according to international standards. They will also contribute to quality management topics (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 27001) and participate in customer and European Space Agency (ESA) projects. This position offers the unique opportunity to actively shape the Seibersdorf SEE Laser Test Lab, travel to leading European radiation facilities, and continuously expand expertise in electronics radiation hardness within an interdisciplinary team.
Required Skills
Education
Completed or ongoing studies in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable fields
Experience
- Initial experience in laboratory operations, laser technology, or measurement technology is advantageous
- Interest in project organization and long-term professional development
Languages
Additional
- Driver's license (Category B) and willingness to travel for business
