Job Summary
This role is for a motivated Software Technician to join projects with Airbus Defence and Space. The successful candidate will be responsible for automating configurations and updates of devices, operating systems, and applications, including those without internet access. Key tasks also involve automating the installation of software and extensions, creating automated tests with logging, and supporting system and acceptance tests. The position requires strong technical skills in Windows, Python, and various IT domains, along with excellent communication skills in German and English. This is an exciting opportunity to work on critical defense projects, requiring a willingness to travel and engage with military clients.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification; or completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, IT System Electronics Technician, or comparable.
Experience
- Professional experience in automating configurations and updates
- Experience with automated testing and logging
- Experience supporting system and acceptance tests with customers
- Willingness to work with military clients
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel for on-site assignments (approx. 2-3 times per month) and flexibility for short-notice business trips.
