This role involves conducting critical measurements of environmental radioactivity across Thuringia, Germany, as part of the Integrated Measurement and Information System (IMIS). The successful candidate will be responsible for field measurements of radon and its decay products, including on-site sampling, and performing physical and chemical sample preparation for radiochemical analysis. Key tasks also include alpha, gamma, and beta spectrometry measurements, along with meticulous data processing, management, and plausibility checks. A strong focus on quality assurance, adherence to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-3 standards, and radiation protection aspects is essential. Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a Technical Assistant with state recognition in a natural science field (e.g., CTA) or as a Laboratory Technician; alternatively, other technically/natural science-oriented qualification with strong abilities and knowledge in analytical chemistry.

  • Experience with radioactive materials (advantageous)
