Job Summary

This role is for a Geotechnical Engineer specializing in fieldwork and sampling within the areas of contaminated sites, hydrogeology, and ground engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting small-diameter ram borings, collecting samples from various media (soil, soil gas, groundwater, surface water, and waste), and performing geotechnical field and laboratory investigations. Day-to-day tasks also include meticulous documentation of fieldwork and sample collection, as well as the maintenance of field equipment. This position is ideal for someone with a background in construction material testing, waste management, surveying, or a related technical-manual field, who possesses a structured work approach, technical understanding of measurement devices, and basic IT skills. The role offers diverse and responsible tasks within an interdisciplinary team and includes thorough onboarding by experienced colleagues.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Construction Material Tester, Waste Management Specialist, Surveying Technician, or in a technical-manual profession.

Experience

  • Professional experience in construction material testing, waste management, surveying, or a technical-manual profession (suitable for career changers)
  • Experience with small-diameter ram borings and hand drilling equipment
  • Professional experience in sample collection and field investigations
  • Experience with geotechnical, chemical, and physical measurement and analysis devices
