Job Summary

Join a rapidly growing team at a leading university hospital in Germany, focusing on groundbreaking cancer research. This postdoctoral position involves taking a leading role in a pioneering project to unravel the neurobiology of Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC), building on recent discoveries that SCLC forms functional synapses with neurons. The role requires investigating the role of neuron-to-cancer synapses in SCLC development and progression using in vivo models and co-cultures, elucidating mechanistic details of neuronal activity promoting SCLC, and dissecting the interplay between the nervous system and the tumor microenvironment. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate researcher to drive an independent project within a collaborative and thriving SCLC research community, contributing to personalized patient care.
