Job Summary

Join Siemens Healthineers as a Hardware Architect and Technical Project Lead, shaping the next generation of angiography devices. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the development and integration of hardware components, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. You'll define future-proof solutions for control and communication components, coordinating with suppliers and development partners. A key part of your role involves developing and maintaining a modular architecture for component reusability and actively supporting the continuous development of a modular process to build a scalable product structure. You will also define functional safety requirements, conduct risk analyses, and implement relevant standards in medical technology. This position offers a flexible and dynamic environment, allowing up to 60% mobile work within Germany and up to 30 days of international mobile work annually.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, or comparable field

Experience

  • Professional project experience in component development of complex control or communication systems in hardware, ideally in medical imaging systems with functional safety aspects
  • In-depth experience with hardware development processes and relevant norms and standards (e.g., IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 61508)
  • Practical experience with modular systems, their implementation, and the associated documentary and approval challenges in platform and product development (advantageous)
