This role involves developing and modeling HVDC systems using MATLAB/Simulink and PSCAD/EMTDC, with a focus on integrating voltage-forming control concepts like direct voltage control and Grid-Forming-Control. The engineer will build detailed dynamic simulation models of converters and their controls, performing dynamic analyses for grid stability, reactive power requirements, and transient behavior. The position requires applying PowerFactory/DIgSILENT for grid calculations and collaborating with international, interdisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree in Electrical or Control Engineering with a focus on power engineering, strong expertise in power electronics, and practical experience with the specified simulation tools.
