This full-time, permanent position is for a Head of Finance Department within the Lower Saxony Forensic Psychiatric Center (MRVZN), a state-operated entity. The role involves leading and organizing the finance department, which includes financial accounting and controlling, and managing an annual budget exceeding 245 million euros. Key responsibilities include budget planning, reporting to senior management, preparing annual financial statements, and overseeing cost accounting and accounts payable/receivable. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent, extensive professional experience in public service and finance, and a structured, reliable, and team-oriented approach. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Administrative Sciences, or a comparable bachelor's degree with a focus on finance/accounting; or completed Administrative Course II; or qualification for career group 2, 1st entry-level position in General Services (for civil servant status)
