Job Summary
This role at the Interfaculty Institute of Biochemistry at the University of Tübingen involves supporting research into the signal molecule cGMP. The successful candidate will be responsible for laboratory organization, including ordering supplies and managing equipment. Key day-to-day tasks include independently planning and executing standard molecular biology and biochemical methods such as PCR, Western Blot, and immunofluorescence, as well as performing cell culture experiments and fluorescence microscopy. The position also involves analyzing human and murine tissue samples. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in life sciences to contribute to a dynamic international research group, focusing on understanding signal transduction at molecular, cellular, and organismal levels.
Required Skills
Education
MTA, BTA, CTA certification or equivalent, or a technically oriented university degree in life sciences
Experience
- Professional experience in standard molecular biology and biochemical methods
- Professional experience in cell culture work
- Experience in handling laboratory mice (advantageous)
- Independent and careful work ethic
