Job Summary

This role involves comprehensive administration and support for client management systems and workplace IT infrastructure within a municipal IT service provider. The specialist will be responsible for packaging, testing, and installing Windows client operating systems and standard software, as well as developing standards and optimizing software packages. Key tasks also include administering and evolving the Windows standard client, managing Group Policies (GPO), and supporting virtual clients (VDI). The position requires expertise in Windows client security, patch management, and endpoint security systems, including planning and monitoring. Additionally, the role includes managing Windows print servers, fleet management systems, creating technical documentation, and participating in IT projects and 2nd level support. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field; OR Civil servant qualification for the third qualification level in Natural Sciences and Technology (specializing in Administrative Informatics); OR Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration; OR Comparable professional IT qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT administration or a comparable IT field (if not holding a degree/qualification)
  • Several years of relevant professional experience (if not holding a degree/qualification)
  • Very good technical knowledge of operating systems, standard software, and IT workplace hardware/peripherals
  • Very good technical knowledge of client management systems, WSUS, patch management, and endpoint security
  • Experience with helpdesk and asset management software
