Job Summary

The University of Marburg is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant (PhD student) to join the Faculty of Medicine's Institute of Physiological Chemistry. This part-time, 3-year position focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis and therapy resistance, and developing novel targeted therapies using allosteric inhibitors and monobodies. The successful candidate will conduct independent academic research for their doctoral project, contribute to scientific publications and presentations, and support teaching activities for human medicine and human biology students. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma, MSc, or equivalent) in a biological, life science, pharmaceutical, or chemical field

Experience

  • Sound knowledge of biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, bioorganic chemistry, or pharmacy
  • Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team
