Job Summary

The Microcosm Earth Center (MEC) at Philipps University Marburg is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to lead an independent junior research group. This role involves developing and advancing an internationally visible research program, actively securing third-party funded projects, and contributing to existing research initiatives within the university and the Max Planck Institute. The successful candidate will also be responsible for training and mentoring emerging scientists in microbiology. This position offers a dynamic research environment with access to state-of-the-art core facilities, fostering collaborative work on global challenges in molecular, organismic, and synthetic microbiology.
