Job Summary
This pivotal role as Team Lead for Energy Trading Systems and IT Data Infrastructure involves leading a dedicated team of 5-10 employees, driving the strategic evolution of BASF's IT landscape and data architecture within the commodity trading sector (Gas, Electricity, EUAs, HKNs). You will be responsible for optimizing and administering IT systems, ensuring their continuous availability, and managing the entire data lifecycle from design to reporting within a data lake environment. The position requires a professional with a strong background in energy trading, IT strategy development, and project leadership, who can actively contribute to BASF's climate-neutral future by securing competitive energy supplies.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration with a focus on Computer Science, Energy Economics, or comparable field
Experience
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in the energy industry or a comparable environment
- Several years of practical experience in managing ETRM systems or similar applications
- Broad understanding of commodity trading operations (Gas, Electricity, Carbon, Guarantees of Origin)
- Experience in analyzing and building business processes and data flows
