Job Summary
This role involves leading and coordinating all aspects of electrical engineering within facility management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of construction projects, from planning and execution to cost, schedule, and resource management, including commissioning. A key focus is ensuring the uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems, such as power supply, security, and communication technologies, with a strong emphasis on energy management and efficiency improvements. The position also entails overseeing maintenance, ensuring legal compliance (e.g., DGUV V3, VDS), managing occupational safety, and coordinating external service providers. Budget planning and cross-location coordination are also integral, making this a comprehensive leadership role for a seasoned electrical engineering professional.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (at least 4 years) in Electrical Engineering (e.g., Diploma Engineer FH/Uni) OR completed vocational training (at least 3 years) with subsequent qualified further education (e.g., Master Craftsman, Technician) and extensive, specialized additional qualifications.
Experience
- Extensive professional experience in planning, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems
- Experience in energy management and implementing legal and safety regulations
- Experience with relevant norms, regulations, and technical standards
- Readiness for 24/7 plant availability, including alternating on-call duty
