Job Summary

As a Project Manager for Offshore Large Projects, you will independently lead international projects from technical clarification through to acceptance. These large-scale projects, driven by global players, involve manufacturing platforms in shipyards across Asia, the UAE, and Europe before their deployment in the North or Baltic Sea. You will be responsible for implementing offshore projects, focusing on fire alarm systems, extinguishing systems, and building automation. Your role includes defining project strategy, planning phases, and ensuring projects meet technical, economic, and timeline objectives while managing risks. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, internal departments, and other partners. Additionally, you will oversee project controlling and collaborate with commercial project management on cost calculations, contributing to shaping tomorrow's world.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Building Automation, or similar. Alternatively, a completed comparable vocational training with further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician.

Experience

  • Many years of professional experience in the execution and management of MCR or safety technology projects of various sizes
  • Profound knowledge in building technology
  • Routine in project handling
  • Familiarity with contract law, claim management, and relevant norms and guidelines for building technology (VDE, VDI), ideally also international standards and Common Law

Additional

  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time to international client sites in Asia, UAE, and Europe during critical project phases.
