Job Summary

Join the City of Nuremberg's Urban Drainage and Environmental Analytics (SUN) department as an IT Specialist, contributing to environmental protection and public health. In this role, you will be instrumental in the setup and administration of servers, data networks, and mobile devices, focusing on network infrastructure, databases (front-end and back-end), log servers, monitoring, IDS, and firewalls. Your day-to-day will also involve creating and maintaining inventory records for hardware, software, and IT documentation, as well as managing licenses and maintenance contracts. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and adapting standard and specialized software, including updates and upgrades. This position offers the opportunity to participate in the development and support of new IT applications, manage data networks and monitoring systems, and contribute to project planning and execution. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant vocational qualification, at least one year of professional experience, and expertise in data processing, virtualization, and network infrastructures, demonstrating strong initiative and teamwork.

  • Professional experience in network infrastructures (protocols, switch technology, cabling)
