Job Summary

Join the Swiss Army's Cyber Command (Cdo Ciber) as an ICT System Engineer focusing on mobile and radio communication services. You will play a crucial role in implementing and integrating new communication services (including mobile core, data networks, and portable radio solutions) for clients across large-scale projects, contributing actively to the digitalization of the Swiss Army. Day-to-day tasks involve planning and executing integration and migration activities in close collaboration with external suppliers, ensuring operational quality for mobile and radio telephony services (including voice services), and performing rigorous technical testing and validation. A key responsibility is defining long-term operational and support concepts, developing comprehensive documentation, and providing training for internal and external teams. This dynamic environment requires deep expertise in 4G/5G, mobile core technologies, and IP networking, offering a unique opportunity to secure and enhance Switzerland's digital defense platform.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering (University/FH/SUP), or equivalent technical qualification (SSS/AFC).

Experience

  • Solid knowledge of mobile telephony technologies (4G/LTE, 5G, mobile core, VoLTE, IMS)
  • Excellent knowledge of IP networks (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, VPN, firewall)
  • Professional experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and quality assurance of communication systems
  • Experience working autonomously and structurally within project frameworks, including collaboration with suppliers
